Q: We have a Village design statement, why do we need a neighbourhood plan?

A: The VDS is treated as informal guidance and carries little weight. A neighbourhood plan will become part of the local plan and the policies contained

within them are then used in the determination of planning applications.

Q: How long will it take?

A: It depends on the scope, complexity and available resources. Other examples have taken from 1 to 3 years. We anticipate taking up to 18 months.

 

Q: How long will the NP last?

A: Until 2029 (the duration of the local plan).
